Wedding Photography with Storytelling Artistry EXPERIENCE: In addition to documenting weddings throughout California, my experience comes from years of photographing thousands of assignments for newspapers and magazines. I've photographed U.S. Presidents, the Queen of England, Pope Paul, celebrities, musicians, famous sports figures and covered major news and community events. These encounters have taught me to be at ease in any situation. My images have been published throughout the world in major publications including: Time, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, USA Today, Sunset Magazine and National Geographic World. During my 20 plus years of experience - of which ten years were as a daily newspaper photographer at the San Luis Obispo Tribune, I've been honored with major awards from the National Press Photographer's Association, the Associated Press and the International Photography Awards. I also enjoy sharing my photography experiences as a part-time photography instructor in the Fine Arts Department at Cuesta College. APPROACH: Each wedding becomes a personal project of collaboration with you to produce beautiful images of your magic day. To create a photographic wedding story, I use a sensitive, unobtrusive journalistic approach to capture natural, spontaneous images. I'm there to creatively document the course of your wedding day and capture every beautiful moment as it unfolds. My newspaper experience has primed me for the pressing time lines ever so present in covering a wedding. When instruction is necessary, it is poised and kind. Portraits are encouraged for keepsakes to combine an ideal blend of artistic contemporary photojournalism and traditional photography.
